Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique used on textiles to create patterns that spread unevenly across the fabric; the result is patterns that are uneven and show the Japanese appreciation of the beauty in imperfection.

I have rescued sections of Egyptian cottons, super soft pieces and dyed them in the shibori method.  Each piece is unique and can be repurposed for a multitude of ways.  I have been taking these sections for years from a friend who sews custom shirts and finding ways of bringing them into my life; sarongs, scarves, quilting, head bands, used as patches, kids scarf, wrapping small gifts, napkins, hand cloth, and have even gifted them in a frame.

These all have raw edges, as this is the way I found them and find they gently wear with a fringe effect but will never unravel.

Approximate size is 25" x 100"
